The Story
The Motocompacto is Honda at its most playful: a 41-pound electric scooter that folds down into a flat aluminium suitcase and rolls along on its own wheels. It is the direct descendant of the 1981 Motocompo, the trunk bike built to live in the back of a Honda City — which makes it the perfect companion piece to a kei truck or van.
Unfolded, it runs a 490W front-wheel motor for about a 12 mph cruise and roughly a 12 mile range, with a 3.5 hour charge from a standard outlet. Digital display, onboard charger, side reflectors and a carry handle are all built in.
