This HA4-generation Honda Acty SDX came to us as a clean, honest Japanese-market kei truck and left as one of our favourite drivers — a right-hand-drive, 5-speed manual truck with selectable four-wheel drive, registered and titled in Florida.

Power comes from Honda's 656cc E07A inline-three, rated at roughly 38 horsepower and 40 lb-ft, mounted midship beneath the bed and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a proper part-time 4WD system.

Mechanically, the truck was gone through on the lift: coilover suspension for a lower, tighter stance, freshly serviced brakes with powder-coated red calipers, new bushings and a full fluid service front to back.

Cosmetically, the blue paint was corrected and detailed, the cargo bed protected with a durable spray-in liner, and the cabin finished with a set of tasteful touches including a 3D printed dashboard cup holder, shift knob and JDM accessories.

It sold locally out of Delray Beach in the summer of 2022 and remains a good example of the standard every KEI EVOLUTION truck is held to.
